Himgiri Nature Retreat

 

Location: Himgiri Nature Retreat is located 50 Kms from Solan, in the heart of District Sirmour in Himachal Pradesh. Solan is approximately midway from Chandigarh to Shimla (NH22). Due to the proximity of District Sirmour to Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttranchal, it makes for a quick and convenient destination, a perfect weekend getaway. The easiest and most flexible option is to come by road; the other options are equally convenient.

About: Situated in an unpolluted and serene environment, Himgiri Nature Retreat is an eco-resort spread over 15 bighas, located in the heart of Sirmour district, HP.

It are a tranquil alternative to Shimla, being at the same altitude (7,000 ft) and located equidistant from Solan (50 km).

What it offer is an exclusive destination where you can unplug and recharge. Here you can find peace of mind while choosing your activity or inactivity.

Nohra Dhar and Surrounding Towns

  • Quaint town at the base of Churdhar with a very scenic drive with waterfalls and dense oak forests

  • 12 Kms (4 kms ahead of Kanda Waterfall)

  • Can drive to Bandal from there which is another 5 kms or towards Chauras 12 kms

Churdhar/ Choordhar

  • Want a view of the Gangetic Plains, Higher Himalayas pretty much you can see everything from here

  • Historic Lord Shiva temple near summit

  • From Nohra Dhar a 16 km trek, most require a base camp

  • Base camp made at Jum Nala (at a height below Teesri)

  • A wealth of herbs and beautiful alpine flora cover these Himalayan slopes, Local legend has it that Lord Hanuman found Sanjeevani Buti in this vicinity (Ramayan)

Rajgarhh

  • The hub of this region and certainly the largest town in the vicinity, height of approx 5,000 ft.

  • Shopping convenience for daily needs, fuel, medicine, internet etc.

  • Surrounded by fruit orchards, also known as the Peach Valley of Himachal 12 kms

Badu Sahib/ Baru Sahib

  • Here you can visit a Sikh Akal Academy spread over 400 acres

  • 38 kms via Rajgarh

Haripur Dhar

  • Want a view of the Higher Himalayas, easily accessible historic temple

  • 40 kms

Habban

  • Explore an old Oak Forest, scenic drive through orchards

  • 45 kms via Rajgarh

Renuka Ji/ Renukaji

  • Here you can visit a lake fed by natural springs

  • Also has a wildlife sanctuary which has rare birds, deer, bears and lions

  • Area has famous temples of Lord Parshuram, Lord Shiva and Mata Renuka
