Children's Park and Dupleix Statue
This is a seaside park where a 2.88m tall statue of Marquis Joseph Francois Dupleix stands. Dupleix was the Governor of Puducherry between 1742 and 1754.

Gandhi Statue
This is one of the highlights of Puducherry. The 4m statue of Mahatma Gandhi is surrounded by eight magnificent granite pillars.

Botanical Gardens
The Botanical Gardens are located south of the New Bus Stand. It was established in 1826 with French architectural elements and style, pruned trees, beautiful flower beds and gravel lined paths and fountains. It has over 1,500 species of plants from all over the world. The musical fountain is active during the weekends.

Bharathi Park
Bharati Park, also known as the Government Park, provides shade in the centre of the French Town with its lush green trees. It is the most popular public area in town with children playing, adults relaxing and occasional visits from significant citizens. The Aayi Mandapam is the centre from which four lanes divide the park in to four parts. The area has many ancient sculptures.
