Camp Kyari is
located at Siyat village outside Jim Corbett National Park.
About:
Siyat (2,800 ft) is a small Kumaoni village on the periphery of the Corbett Park region.
This is a new campsite. It offers an outbound experience which is wilder and very real.
Camp Kyari is located in an organic farm on the hill slopes above Kotabag and the site overlooks the Baur river valley.
Here you can harvest fresh vegetables for your next meal, go swimming in river pools or rock climbing and rappelling over a waterfall. You can trek through densely forested hills or explore the river valley dotted with villages and farmlands on mountain bikes. The more adventurous can pitch the tents deeper into the forest to co-exist with varied Wildlife and live a life ‘out there’.
Accommodation:
Twin/triple/Quad sharing basis in American Safari Tents along with mats and sleeping bags ensure a comfortable stay on the meadows. Both cots and ground bedding could be arranged on request. Hygienic toilet tents with w/c and running water flushes are also provided. Lounging chairs and campfire stools blending with the natural environment are interspersed at the campsite. Maintaining the natural jungle environment no electricity is used at the camp. Kerosene/solar lanterns are used to light the camp adequately during the night.
Food:
The camp kitchen provides wholesome and fresh Indian/Continental cuisine along-with local delicacies. Tea/coffee/juices are served at regular intervals. The camp has the local supply of filtered water from the spring which is again filtered in the camp with zero B filter.
Buffet timings:
Breakfast between 7:30 a.m – 9:00 a.m
Lunch between 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Dinner between 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Weather & clothing:
Camp Kyari is open from 1st October to 30th April. The days are pleasant and sunny which makes it perfect to splash in water while the nights are fresh and chilly.
Functional and comfortable clothing with adequate winter wear, walking shoes, strap-on sandals, a torch and swimwear are essential to maximize your camping experience.
List of things to be carried:

Basic comfortable clothing like shorts, T-shirts, Track-pants, Sweat-shirts, etc

Personnel toiletries and towel.

One warm sweater and a warm (pref. rain proof) jacket or an umbrella.

Gloves/mufflers/warm cap may be carried for evenings.

Comfortable walking/trekking shoes and slippers for lounging at camp and near water areas.

Water bottle.

Torch with extra pair of batteries (mandatory).
-
Caps, binoculars, sunglasses etc. are recommended.
-
One small backpack / daypack to carry stuff while on short walks.

Books on wildlife, plants and birds are helpful for the nature and wildlife enthusiasts.

For the train
journey carry a blanket (recommended for Nov–Mar). At the camp all bedding/sleeping bags are provided.

Travel light and pack everything in a rucksack / handbag which can easily be carried by you.
Important Pointers:

Lanterns are not allowed to be carried inside the tents for safety reasons.

Transport can be arranged by Wildrift at actuals. (refer to the tariff list for details)

Guests are requested to adhere to the meal timings – it helps us create a better holiday for you.

Keeping in view the delicate eco-system around, playing music systems is not allowed at the camps.

Aerated drinks are not served in the camp-can be arranged at actuals.

How to reach there:
By
Train:
There is an overnight train from the Old Delhi Railway Station (Ranikhet Express), which leaves Old Delhi at 10:40 pm and arrives at Ramnagar at 5:30 a.m. & at Kathgodam at 6:15 am from where Jeeps can be hired to go to the Camp Kyari, Syat. Return is likewise in an overnight train reaching Delhi at 4.30 am.
By Road:
From Ramnagar cross the Kosi Barrage to go on to the Ramnagar - Kaladungi highway. Take the Pawal garh road to Kotabag from Bail-Padav crossing for the Syat village.
