Location: Camp and Retreat Located in the foothills of the lower western Himalayas at an altitude of 3,300 feet (1000 meters) above sea level at a safe distance 18Kms off Dehradun and 265 Kms from Delhi, in a village Mahendrapur, the camp is spread over 20 acres set amidst lush Green Forest by the side of Song River for safe water fun.

About: The camp is offbeat, serene surrounded by River Streams, Mountains, Water Falls and Jungle. Spectacular river side treks and various birds completes the offbeat holiday experience.

Only camp to have a private lake with fresh running river water. The lake is kept in its natural state. Great location for swimming, splashing and other water sports.
 

The camp is very children friendly as huge flat ground is surrounded by mountains and forest. All measure are taken care to ensure safety of the kids/children at the camp.

Accommodation: We have 25 Canvas tents with area of 10' by 12', with front zipped entrance, which have two beds with mattresses and sleeping bags/quilts. The tents are pitched in a well spread out area on Plinths.

For big group sizes safari tents are pitched on the ground. The camp has the capacity to cater to group sizes till 180 at a time for Night stay and 800 Pax for a day programs.

Facilities:

Toilets and Washroom: Toilets at the camp are in a central compound. There are12 Western Running Water Toilets and 5 Bathrooms with running water. Hot water is made available through Hamams /Geysers on request. All toilets have paper/ tissue roll, & dustbin. There are 6 circular and artistic Washbasins for hand wash etc.

Lounge: Lounge area under the Pilkhan Tree is the central sitting area for the guests relaxing and basking throughout the day. Lounge area is split in two steps for bar and sit outs. The shade of the Pilkhan tree is cool by nature.

Informal conference or unconference: It is possible in the lounge seating 70 people in theatre style. Basic Stationary like board, Marker and Sheets are provided. Bigger group programs can be organized in the open air Amphitheatre has sitting of around 250 Pax at a time.

Service and Dining: Fine dining and professional service are few of the core values of Camp Red Stone. Our Kitchen is equipped with modern facilities under hygienic conditions and infrastructure to provide Indian cuisine along with local delicacies. Veg/Non-veg bar-be-ques are also arranged around the campfire.

Open Air Amphitheatre: Open Air Amphitheatre at the camp facing the water fall is used for out door work shops and dining for large groups.
 

Activities:

Hiking: The area presents endless avenues for the hiking enthusiasts. From a two-hour hike in the surrounding area to a full day Hike crossing rivers and sulphur springs, dams, caves and river streams and more.

Rappelling: Rappelling Experience coming down the rocks. This exercise of using the ropes and harness helps you to learn the skills of climbing down.

River Crossing (Tyrolean Traverse): You also learn the act of river crossing over the base tied across the stream near the camp.

Splash Swimming: The presence of perennial stream around the camp present good opportunities for day picnics around small pools up in the valley hidden from the whatsoever little population that exists in the area.

Body Surfing: Moving from one point to the other with the flow of the river. This is seasonal since flow of the river current changes with time.

Obstacle Course: A nature course obstacle course is set up with burma bridge, flying fox, balancing beam.

Sports: We have a small make shift volleyball court, cycling, air rifle shooting, badminton, daily bonfires, village treks, cricket.

Mobile Camping: People looking only for peace and tranquility can have their tents pitched in the beautiful spots near the camp on request.

Rafting: Rafting is done in Shivpuri in the ganges. 60 kms from the camp. The season for rafting is apt during Oct April, except the rainy months.

Visit to Mussorie: People can visit one of the most famous hill stations Mussorie 38kms from camp.

How to get there:

Camp is Safely Located at a distance of 18 kms from the Dehradun City . Transfers from Dehradun is via Jeep/ Bus(45 Mins approx).
 

Coaches & Volvo (By Road): 27 AC Seater goes till the road head of the camp. Guests need to trek 800m Down hill to reach the camp. Luggage are transferred by Jeep.

35 Seaters Can go till 3kms before the camp. Guests need to trek for 25 Minutes (Flat River side Trek) . Luggage are transferred by Jeep/Car

Cars can be driven straight to the camp.

Route map: Delhi - GT Road - Hindon River Bridge - Modinagar - Meerut - Muzaffarnagar - Roorkee – Haridwar/ Dehradun(optional) - Ordinance Factory – Raipur Chowk -Maldevta - Mahendrapur (where camp is located).

Airways: The Jolly Grant Airport is about 55 km from Dehradun. Daily flight fly to Dehradun.

Rail: Nearest railways station is Dehradun Station.
