Location: Glenmoor Cottages are situated at an altitude of about 6,300 feet above sea level in Upper Dharamshala, District Kangra, Himachal, India. The distance from McLeodganj is one kilometer.

About: The Cottages nestle in enchanting forests of cedar, oak and rhododendron on the picturesque slopes of the Dhauladhar ranges of the Himalayas. The Kangra valley spreads far and wide below.

Accommodation: The Cottages are set amidst verdant, idyllic and serene surroundings. There are five independent cottages.Three smaller cottages consist of a double bedroom, an attached bath, a kitchenette and a small glazed verandah overlooking the forest.Two bigger cottages consist of a bigger double bedroom area, an attached bath, a kitchenette and a glazed verandah at a split level.

How to reach:

By Flight: There are regular flights from Delhi to Kangra Airport by Kingfisher. It is a forty five minute drive to Glenmoor Cottages. There are also flights to Pathankot at a distance of 100 kilometers and Jammu at a distance of 190 kilometers. It is a four hours drive to Glenmoor.

By Rail: Pathankot railway junction is well connected by trains from all over India. It is one hundred kilometers and the driving time is two and a half hours to Glenmoor Cottages. One may also take a train to Amritsar at a distance of 190 kilometers and it four hours drive to Glenmoor. The railway station at Una is at a distance of 130 kilometers and a three and a half hours drive to Glenmoor.

By Road: A network of highways connects Dharamshala to Chandigarh, Delhi, Shimla and Jammu. There are private as well as Government buses from all cities to Dharamshala. A new air conditioned bus service between Dharamshala and New Delhi has been started by the Himachal Road Transport Corporation. From McLeodganj: From the Town square ( In front of Nowrojee's Store / Opp. Mc'llo restaurant ) please take the road towards the Office of the Taxi Union / The Tibetan Childrens Village and the Dal Lake. Drive for 500 meters and to the right there is a road leading uphill towards Glenmoor Cottages. Please view the map of McLeodganj below for directions.

Taxis: A Maruti Van, Tata Sumo or Toyota Qualis / Innova can be arranged to receive and drop guests from any of the locations mentioned above. Air conditioned vehicles are also available.

Tariff:  

The tariff for a large cottage is Rs.6340-00 per night for two persons.
The tariff for a small cottage is Rs.5050-00 per night for two persons.

• The Tariff is inclusive of Luxury Tax and Service Tax.

• The charge for an extra person is 25% of the tariff.

• The above mentioned tariff is on an EP ( accommodation only ) basis. Meals are extra.

• The reservation is confirmed only on receipt of full payment and is done on a first come first served basis..
