Location: Located Ghangria is an easy paced 14 ms trek from Govind ghat / 287 Kms from Haridwar/Dehradun.
About Us: The world famous Valley of Flowers is situated in the upper expansions of Bhyundar Ganga in the far interior of Garhwal Himalayas. Spread over an area of 87.5 sq. kms., the valley is at an altitude of is 3250 m to 6750 m above mean sea level. The Valley is is renowned for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and outstanding natural beauty. Many a legend are associated with this vibrant and eye catching Valley, and are often in the epics of the Ramayana and Mahabharat.
The Valley of Flowers is a declared National park (1982) and along with the Nanda Devi National Park is encompassed inside the Nanda Devi Biosphere reserve. The Valley is a UNESCO World Heritage site and the Biosphere is part of the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves.
The bloom in the valley starts immediately after the melting of snow but the peak blooming period is from mid July to mid August. Almost 300 species of wild flowers bloom here unhindered by mankind. The prominent species are Braham Kamal, Blue Poppy, Anemone, Geranium, Marsh marigold, Prinula, Lilium, Potentilla, Ranunculus, Inula, Corydalis, Pedicularis, Arisaema, Ligularia, Morina, Impatiens, Saxifrages Bistorta, Anaphalis, Sibbaldia. The myriad shades of the valley have attracted lots of travellers through the years.
Ghangria sits a a strategic location from where the Valley of flower trip begin, Ghangria became the base after camping in the valley was banned. While one direction takes you to the valley, the other leads to the high altitude lake of Hemkund sahib, a revered shrine of the sikh community.
HIMALAYAN ECO LODGE VALLEY OF FLOWERS is located in a beautiful spot in Ghangria before one enters the crowded part of this busy centre. The Camp has swiss cottage tents which are comfortably furnished with attached washrooms & Electricity Apart from comforts the camp is well stocked on all information connected to the valley and services of a naturalist who will tell you all about what you see during your trip to the valley.

The closest railway station to the camp is Haridwar and there are a number of trains that connect to Haridwar from all over the country.
