Dining
The Cuisine at Kasbah is an experience of a lifetime. It is a connoisseur’s delight! Begum Saheba of Balasinor happens to be an excellent cook having been invited to host Royal food festivals of ‘Balasinor & Gujarat’ by Gujarat Tourism and Welcomgroup, at the Chola Sheraton, Chennai and by Gujarat Tourism at the Park, Calcutta. She has also hosted special food festivals at Ahmedabad. Under her supervision you are sure to get authentic Mughlai and Rajasthani cuisine. We aim to provide authentic home cooked flavors, using only the freshest ingredients available. Vegetarian delicacies are one of a kind here.
The Guests get to enjoy their meals under the open sky or under a Shamiana being the dining area. Fixed Buffet meals will be served to the guests here. Special meal requirements will be made available on prior requests.
Snacks & beverages are served on demand.
Cultural Evenings
To add colour to your desert evenings, traditional performances by the ‘Kalbelia’ dancers & ‘Langas’ (folk singers) will enthrall you as you sit around bonfires.
To add a dash flavour to those evenings, they have arranged for performances by the quaint ‘Dhamaal’ dancers from the Ratanpur village of Gujarat. These are of the ' Siddi Goma Group'. Of African descent but settled in Gujarat for several generations, these dancers are sure to spice things up.Siddis are a negroid community tracing their ancestry to Africa. Believed to have come from African countries as mercenaries, slaves and labour, the Siddis grew to become powerful generals, some of them even became rulers. In Gir, there are villages of the Siddis, who are well known for their dances and other performances, and a major shrine for the community.
