Accommodation:

The lush landscape of Somatheeram Ayurveda Resort has the specialty that it has not been altered or modified in any way to build the various facilities and amenities. Built with eco-friendly materials, the lodging facilities are designed to merge elegantly with the vibes of Somatheeram. Properly ventilated to allow natural air flow, the cottages, Kerala Houses, the deluxe suites as well as the ordinary rooms are built in a classy style to suit Somatheeram. Most rooms have beautiful gardens in the front and provide an excellent view of the sea which would make one to stay on for longer and to visit this enchanting place again and again.

Kerala Deluxe Suite: Kerala Deluxe Suites are A/C accommodations with well-designed interiors and surrounded by greenery all around. The beautiful surroundings of Somatheeram and the spectacular view of the sea can be enjoyed from this room. These houses are luxuriously built with a Kerala touch, making it exceptional. The prompt services, first-class amenities and a relaxing and tranquil environment are sure to make your holiday, most memorable.

Kerala House Deluxe: These are A/C rooms with a splendid view of the sea, 24 hour room services and superior luxury and comfort. Built as per the principles of ancient architecture, Somatheeram’s Kerala House Deluxe combines magnificence, tradition and ambiance. The plentiful use of dark wood throughout the house and the wooden armchairs, beds and other furniture gives the house a rich and striking appearance.

Garden Cottage: Garden cottages are cozy and give the occupant a homely atmosphere and the chance to build an intimacy with the ambiance of Somatheeram. There are beautiful gardens in front of the cottages, which is the perfect place to spend a lazy day close to nature. Rectangular or circular in plan, garden cottages are non A/C accommodation facilities, built with local materials and properly ventilated for maximum air flow. Most of the rooms provide hammocks for the occupants. Designed for double occupancy, garden cottages could accommodate a third person on client’s request.

Special Cottage: Built with natural materials such as mud and bricks, special cottages have a great view of the sea so that the occupants can enjoy the scenic beauty of Somatheeram throughout their stay. These non A/C accommodations are mostly circular in plan and have thatched roofs. Although designed for double occupancy, an extra bed will be provided to accommodate a third person if required. Cottages with A/C are also available on request.
 

Kerala House Standard: Somatheeram’s Kerala Houses or Arappura are great options for a perfect holiday with its traditional looks, luxurious facilities and an excellent view of the sea. Proportioned and positioned in such a way as to give maximum comfort to occupants, Kerala Houses are typical structures built on the basis of Vastu Shastra, the architectural principles developed by maestros of ancient times. Living in Arappura is one-of-a-kind experience which makes one marvel at the depth of knowledge and insight that these ancient architects possessed.

Standard Room: Standard rooms are non A/C rooms with all facilities and luxuries to cater to every need. They usually form part of a rectangular/ circular building which has 3 or 4 rooms which are rented separately. The rooms are properly ventilated and most of them provide hammocks for its occupants. There is no sea view from these rooms.

Facilities:

In addition to undergoing a rejuvenating experience through Ayurveda, Yoga and a very tranquil atmosphere, Somatheeram offers you some unique services.

Variety cultural programmes form part of Somatheeram evenings and helps in getting acquainted with the various dance, music and cultural art forms of Kerala. Every Kerala festival calls for grand celebrations and an enthusiastic participation from the guests. Kerala sadya (feast) which comprise rice and a large number of side dishes and curries, all specially prepared in Kerala style and served in plantain leaves, is sure to give you an entirely different experience.

A variety of other programmes such as indoor games, boating and elephant rides are also organized by Somatheeram. Mehndi designing, which has been found to be very popular among the guests, is arranged once every week.

The accommodation facilities are superb with 24 hours room service and all other facilities such as Internet facilities, telephone and fax, mail and message, tour and travel assistance are all available for a hassle-free vacation.

Spending a relaxing day at the beach is indeed one of the many attractions at Somatheeram. Somatheeram provides all that is required such as beach umbrellas and beach towels to make it enjoyable to the maximum.

There is a gift shop at the resort from where an assortment of souvenirs and trinkets can be purchased. If you require properly fitted attire or an Indian dress, there is a tailoring shop which would give you tailor-made clothes just the way you like it.

Somatheeram arranges tours to the most fascinating places in Thiruvananthapuram and nearby places. Shopping tours takes you to places offering good bargains and quality products. Transportation facilities from and to the airport are also offered on request.

As regarding the safety of your documents and other valuable items, Somatheeram provides safe lockers. There are facilities for currency exchange as well.
