Kikar Lodge is nestled in the foothills of the Shivaliks, The Kikar Lodge- India's first Private Forest Reserve is spread over 1800 acres and is, located barely a few kilometres from the shimmering blue band of the “Ropar Wetlands”. The Kikar Lodge.
 

Accommodation: From the 30 Luxury air-conditioned cottages at offer, one can choose between a pool view, lake view and forest view. All the tastefully appointed rooms are equipped with comfortable facilities such as LCD TV, writing desk, built in cupboards, mini-refrigerators, 24 hour power back-up, tea & coffee makers, and attached bathroom with all amenities.

Forest View
A short walk from the reception area, the twelve forest view cottages boast of their own private sit out area, a small garden and a magnificent view of the expansive forest.

Lake View
Built as double storey blocks, the eight lake view rooms are divided into suites and rooms. Master suites have separate living areas with an earthy feel, overlooking the lake and a bridge which takes one across to a lush green meadow.

Pool View
Ten spacious cottages overlooking the three pools, are equipped with comfortable double beds, teak wood flooring, large mirror and a dresser.
 

Deluxe Room
The deluxe rooms have similar additions as the Master suites excluding the living area. They come fully equipped with a built in cupboard, writing desk, elegantly designed bathroom and a comfortable bed and not to miss out on the great views.
 

Activities:

Indoors
One can enjoy the Game Room where you can play a game of table tennis, sit down and relax while playing carom and other board games. The Kikar Lodge also has a separate room for playing pool as well as an indoor Golf Simulator.

Outdoors
The Kikar Lodge offers a rare opportunity to see the wild animals and birds in their natural habitat at dawn or by night. A small or large group can enjoy many outdoor sports ranging from cricket, volleyball, badminton, dart board, basketball and water polo. Guests can also enjoy horse riding, buffalo cart rides or tractor rides if requested in advance.

For those who wish to explore the Satluj riverside, a visit can be arranged on request. The river also provides ample opportunities for keen anglers and a fishing license be arranged on prior notice.

Adventure
There is a lot to choose from. Our guests can go for a walk through the marked trails in the 1800 acres of our reserved forest. The area has more than 180 species of birds in the forest surrounding the Lodge. The Kikar Lodge will soon be opening up a private Horse riding academy. Guests can choose various options of horse safaris ranging from full day to overnight camping.
 

How to get there:

By Flight: The nearest well connected Airport is Chandigarh which is well connected from all metros.

By Train: The nearest Station is Anandpur Sahib (about 14 kms or 20 min drive). The Kikar Lodge is about 70 Kms from the Chandigarh Station (1hr 30 min drive).

By Road: The Kikar Lodge is located 320 Kms from Delhi via Panipat, Ambala, Chandigarh.
 

From Chandigarh it is 70 Kms via Mohali and Ropar. On arrival at Ropar (do not take the right turn to Manali), cross the Satluj Barrage, at the end of the barrage, turn right and continue for 27 Kms to Nurpur Bedi. The Kikar Lodge is about 3 Kms from Nurpur Bedi (follow signages)
