Location :
Wayfarer Retreat (Vijaypur - Chaukori, Uttaranchal, India) is situated at 28 km
beyond Bageshwar and 13 km before Chaukori; 214 km from Kathgodam and 120 km
from Ranikhet, the Retreat is just the ideal stop over for travelers heading
towards Munsyari and Patal Bhubaneshwar. On a clear day the place presents one
of the most magnificent views of the Kumaon Himalayas.

The Retreat offers a combination of 6 hill cottage rooms, all amply furnished.
The restaurant at Retreat serves Indian and Continental cuisine.
The accommodation at Vijaypur Wayfarer Retreat is a Six of hill cottages,
constructed from stone, wood, bamboo and thatch. At Vijaypur Wayfarer Retreat
there are six rooms.
Facilities :
All rooms are well
furnished, with attached fully tiled toilets with running cold water. Hot water
is supplied in buckets. Outside every cottage is an enclosure for guests to sit
out in deck chairs and relax. You also have the option of stretching out in one
of the hammocks slung across the pine trees. Vijaypur Wayfarer Retreat receives
electricity from its own generator.
Vijaypur Wayfarer Retreat has a separate dining and lounge area built out of
stone and wood with large windows that open out into the Himalayas. The
restaurant of Vijaypur Wayfarer Retreat serves Indian and continental cuisine.
Next to the restaurant is the bonfire pit and barbecue area which become active
after sun down.
How to
Reach :
- Drive from Nainital via Almora and Bageshwar: 6 hours
- Drive from Ranikhet via Almora and Bageshwar: 5 hours
- Upon reaching Bageshwar drive towards Chaukhori for 27 km and arrive at
village Vijaypur. The resort is located at Vijaypur by the highway.
