ITINERARY

Day 01: Kanha National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Connect morning flight to Jabalpur at 0550 hours. Arrive at Jabalpur at 0850 hours and drive to Kanha National Park (3½ hours). Afternoon drive in the park (time permitting). Overnight in a wildlife lodge.

Day 02 & 03: Kanha National Park
Meals: Breakfast, lunch & dinner

Morning and afternoon drives in the park for wildlife viewing, birding & tigertracking. Wildlife lodge.

Day 04: Kanha National Park Agra
Meals: breakfast

Morning tigertracking in the park. Drive to Jabalpur (3½ hours). Connect overnight air-conditioned sleeper class train to Agra at 1540 hours.

Day 05: Agra National Chambal Sanctuary Bharatpur
Meals: on own

Arrive in Agra in the morning. Transfer to National Chambal Sanctuary (1½ hours). Visit to the Taj Mahal (Friday closed, optional). Afternoon boat cruise with a guide to see Indian skimmer, blackbellied tern, large flocks of migratory waterfowl, cranes such as common, demoiselle and sarus; fish eating crocodile and marsh mugger; Gangetic dolphin; turtles etc. You will be transferred to Bharatpur in the morning (3 hours). Arrive at Bharatpur in the evening.

Day 06: Bharatpur
Meals: on own

Full day birding in the wetlands of Bharatpur. Overnight hotel. Keoladeo National Park has some of the finest wetlands in the world and is the world heritage site. Over 400 species of birds find a refuge in the 29 square kilometers of shallow lakes & woodland of the park. A third of them are winter migrants which breed as far as Siberia & Central Asia.

Day 07: Bharatpur Bund Baretha Delhi onward journey
Meals: on own

Morning visit the wetlands of Bund Baretha for more species. Drive back to Delhi in the afternoon (4 hours). You will transfer to the airport to connect flight to return destination.
