ITINERARY
Day 01: New DelhiKanha National Park
Meals: lunch & dinner
You will be picked up from your place of stay / hotel to connect morning flight to Jabalpur. Arrive at 0900 hours. You will be met and transferred to the wildlife resort (3½ hr). Afternoon drive to the park in a 4WD for tigertracking. Overnight in a wildlife resort.
Day 02, 03 & 04: Kanha National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
Morning and evening jungle visits in jeeps. Overnight stay a wildlife resort.
Day 05: KanhaBandhavgarh National Park
Meals: breakfast & dinner
Morning visit to the park. Drive to Bandhavgarh National Park (5 hr.). Arrive at Bandhavgarh in the evening. Overnight in a wildlife resort.
Day 06, 07 & 08: Bandhavgarh National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
Morning and evening jungle visits for tiger tracking, nature watch or birding in jeeps. Overnight at a wildlife resort.
Day 09: Bandhavgarh National ParkDelhi
Meals: breakfast & lunch
Morning visit to the park in a jeep. Afternoon drive (time permitting). Drive to Katni (2½ hr.) in the evening to connect overnight airconditioned sleeper class train to Delhi.
Day 10: DelhiCorbett National Park
Meals: lunch, dinner
Arrive in Delhi in the morning. You will be met and transferred (6 hours) to Corbett National Park. Overnight stay in a cottage at Tiger Camp.
Day 11: Corbett National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
After breakfast, drive onward for Dhangarhi gate for entry to Dhikala tourism zone. Visit the Interpretation Centre. Jeep safari through the stately dense Sal jungle and the wildlife adventure of Corbett begins. Jeep Safari by the lower jungle track along the Ramganga River accompanied by an expert guide. A great opportunity for viewing wildlife, especially the tiger in its natural habitat. Cross the river at Gethia Rao Bridge for the Kanda Range, where Jim Corbett shot the famous Kanda maneater. Arrive at the main tourist complex, Dhikala. Lunch and relax a bit in the serene, lingering quietness of the park and capture the panoramic expanse on your camera. Visit one of the best wildlife libraries of India. You may opt for an elephant ride, if available otherwise an afternoon safari on a track along the periphery of the core area. An exciting drive through the unforgettable, sylvan beauty of the Khinanauli range offers wildlife viewing in plenty and a chance sighting of the elusive tiger. Return to the to tourist complex. Film show on wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay. Please note that the accommodation in Dhikala is not luxurious.
Day 12: Corbett National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
If you have not done an elephant ride the previous afternoon, you may opt for an elephant in the morning through the open chaurs (grasslands) and dense forests by an unconventional route. This is the best mode of transport for wildlife viewing. Return for breakfast and then again drive by jeep to the scenic lake area wait a while for a chance to sight the marsh crocodile basking in the sun. Visit the Jhirnajhali area for viewing the famous gavial fish eating crocodile. Overnight stay.
Day 13: Corbett National ParkDelhi
Meals: breakfast
Drive back to Tiger Camp. The drive is a safari in itself. Drive back to Delhi (6 hours). You will be transferred to your place of stay / hotel / airport. Tour Ends.
You can add Pench National Park, Panna National Park, Khajuraho & Jaipur or a Himalayan tour to this itinerary at an extra cost.
Extension to Shaheen Bagh can be fruitful.
