SEASON : April to June and August – October
Dodital is at an elevation of 3024 m. , north of uttarkashi . Crystal clear water are surrounded by dence forest . The lake is full of fishes and is known for some of the rare species like the Himalayan Golden Trout. The forest surrounding the lake is also full of wild life .
Day 1st Rishikesh - Sangamchatti
Day 2nd Sangamchatti - Bhewra . After Sangamchatti the trail crosses a tributary of the Asi-Ganga and climb steeply for 2h30 to Agoda . In another 2 km. reach Bhewara.
Day 3rd Bhewra - Dodital . The
path ahead climbs steeply
along a ridge crest for one hour and
goes into the dense forest. The
last path is an almost level pleasant
walk of 3h to Dodital .
Day 4th At Dodital
Day 5th Dodital - Bhewra
Day 6th Bhewra - Sangamchatti
Sangamchatti - Rishikesh.
