SEASON : April to June and September – October

Mountaineer Frank Smyth discovered the valley of flowers in 1930 on his way back from Kamet expedition.Locally it is called Bhuinder Ganga valley. The valley of flower is nearly 10 km. in length,2 km in width and concave is shape and elevation ranging from 3352 m. to 3658 m. apx. It is devided by a strem called the Pushpawati and several tiny streams and waterfall rush down from the glacial deposits to mearg with it. The Pushpawati joins with Laxman Ganga(Bhuinder Ganga) flowing from Hemkund ,at Ghangariya.
The best time to see valley in full bloom is August and September. Hemkund is a beautiful lake(4329 m.) . It is one of the most important and scared place for the Sikhs.

Day 1st Dehradun - Joshimath (1890 m.) After breakfast drive 258 km. From Dehradun to Joshimath ,hot lunch enroute ,dinner and overnight at Tourist Rest House / Hotel in Joshimath.

 
Day 2nd Joshimath - Govindghat (1828 m) - Bhuindar (2429 m) 22 km drive by jeep to Govindghat,Further 8 km trek to Bhuindar with pack lunch , Dinner and overnight at Bhuindar .

 
Day 3rd Bhuindar - Ghangriya (3048 m.) . 5 km. trek to Ghangriya with hot lunch,in evening there will be a short acclimatization walk .

Day 4th Ghangriya - Valley of flower - Ghangriya . After breakfast 5 km. trek to valley of flower with packed lunch ,in afternoon 5 km. trek back to ghangriya ,Dinner and overnight .

Day 5th Ghangriya - Hemkund sahib - Ghangriya . 6 km. trek to Hemkund sahib with packed lunch ,in afternoon 6 km. trek back to ghangriya ,Dinner and overnight .

Day 6th Ghangriya - Govindghat - Joshimath. After breakfast 14 km. trek to Govindghat with packed lunch , further 22 km. drive by jeep to joshimath , dinner and overnight at Joshimath .

Day 7th Joshimath - Dehradun . After breakfast drive 258 km. from Joshimath to Dehradun , Hot lunch enroute, arrival Dehradun ,Tour concludes .
